Fundamental to the development of the technology is the fully equipped facility at Ashford which comprises both 350 and 400 machines, which can be configured in either radial or tangential modes, and all the other necessary ancillaries for both sheathing and cladding.
This facility is used by BWE engineers for the expansion of the applications of the technology. It is the test bed for different tooling formats and as tooling can be produced by BWE on-site, new designs can be rapidly tested and developed. This major investment and the development team ensures that BWE Ltd equipment is the most advanced in the world.

The facility is also used for customer demonstrations. The demonstration may be of product type or, with appropriate tooling, production of the customers required product.
Furthermore, BWE Ltd can also undertake extended customer trials or production evaluations, e.g. a week or several weeks. This is invaluable where it is necessary to prove the total performance of the system in circumstances which closely approximate to "production". During the period customers are invited to witness all aspects of the trial, during which a special visitor facility is available.
